NORTHERN LEADERS
In the words of a social commentator, U. Qasim, "silence is golden when speaking is not necessary; but speaking is golden in the face of tyranny, incompetence and gross failure of leadership structure." It is these true words that inspire me to speak in the face of gross failure of Northern leaders. A situation that has made us look pitiable even to those who looked pitiable to us in the past. Why is it that our leaders have always been interested in occupying positions and never for once interested in developing our region - human and infrastructural wise? We packaged Almajiri phenomenal until it was shameful to continue in that path. Illiteracy strives more than before; kidnapping and banditry forms our identity. Rape is the new epidemic our leaders are still clueless to tackle. Our governors have no working plan to curb illiteracy, rape, kidnapping and other emerging issues. They are more clueless than ever.
