AN OPEN LETTER TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF NIGER STATE

Dear Sir,
SHIRORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND NEED for URGENT SECURITY INTERVENTION
1. With due respect and maximum loyalty to you and your esteemed office sir, we sincerely want to appreciate your effort in the fight against the deadly Corona Virus, the distribution of relief materials and the total lockdown of the state so as to manage the spread of the Virus.
2. Regarding the security challenges faced early this year in the state, we acknowledge your effort in imposing curfew so as to reduce and help curb the menance.
3. Sir, the total lockdown of the state has sent so many people back to their villages so as to prevent themselves from contacting the deadly disease but the insecurity challenges in Shiroro Local Government in return has left alot of people displaced. Criminals, compromising armed bandits, kidnappers and cattle rustlers in their numbers sacked many villages in Gurmana ward of shiroro local government days back. They invaded Kokki, Sarkin Zama, and Jabuki among other places and carted away with herds of cattle including other valuables.
4. The NCDC advised we keep social distance and avoid crowded places, the displaced people of this community had earlier converged at GSS Bosso their new IDP camp in their thousands violating the regulations of NCDC as a result of the attack by arm bandits.
5. We as a matter of urgency request your swift intervention into the security challenges in Shiroro Local Government and the urgent supply of palliatives including Hand sanitizers, food items, and nose masks to the new IDP camp in Bosso.
6. Provision of social amenities, protection of lives and properties is the function of a Democratic Government, as such we urge you do the needful sir.
We hope and pray that our letter receives favourable consideration.
