THE ADDRESS OF THE PRESIDENT OF GBAGYI STUDENTS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (GBASAN) ON EXTENSION OF THE LOCKDOWN OVER THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Dear patriotic GBAGYI STUDENTS

1. I want to sincerely appreciate you all for obeying the laws of the government over this deadly corona Virus (COVID 19) by staying indoor and observing social distance despite the hardship and the unavailability of human resources to satisfy man's want (palliative).

2. This is not a time to argue with the government, but a time to go to the Lord in prayers over the country (Nigeria) and the world at large. Nigeria like other countries have increased it's lockdown yesterday by an additional 14days, don't panic over the issue as the Lord sits over everything and he will surely protect and provide our needs. 

3. The president (GMB) in his speech yesterday increased the number of people to receive the federal government palliative by 1million, it is my prayer that this time it will get to some of you so as to reduce the hardship we experience at this time. 

4 I will unbehalf of the entire EXCO apologize for not being able to provide relief materials at the level of the Association because of the situation we find ourselves, but I am optimistic that we will support at the level we can.

5. In a time like this, the show of love is sacrosanct as such, I urge and encourage everybody to call those members at your reach, recharge those you can, and if possible send little cash to those you can as that is the only way we can show the GBEDOGNU (Love) we've been preaching.

6. In conclusion, just as we've been able to scale through the first phase of the lockdown and nobody was infected, so also the lord will guide us through out the second phase of the lockdown. Its my prayer that we will all finish strong and healthy.(NUM 31 vs 49)

7. I therefore urge as a matter of importance that you all adhere to the guidelines from the NCDC as to wash hands regularly, use nose masks, apply hand sanitizers or alternatively OTNU (ashes and water),  the strict observance of the social distancing and to Pray enerstly for the country as this too shall pass.

THE CHALLENGES OF GBAGYIZA IN THE COMTEMPORARY.

Comrade Gadaga Habakkuk Adamu. National president Gbagyi Students Association.    Gbagyi is one of the most innocent, peaceful and organized tribe in Nigeria. Unharmed with yet ungratified hospitability and generosity. Gbagyi as a race has a wonderful geographical location spread around five states of Nigeria: Abuja, Kaduna, Niger, Nasarawa and Kogi state. What a major tribe among the over 250 Tribes in Nigeria. Gbagyi is a tribe with one of the most unigue culture and language that catches the attention of whoever sees it when displayed or listen to it when spoken.  The common character appreciated by all ethnic group is "Humility".
